A family business with a passion for technology
Prins is a true family business. Although day-to-day management and ownership have evolved over the years, our down-to-earth family culture remains very much alive. This has been the case since Prins was founded by Arie Prins in 1958. Even during the rapid growth of the 1970s, when the Kubota engine dealership was established, personal attention to both customers and employees remained a core strength of our company.
Since 2002, Johan Ipenburg has been the owner and director of the company. Although the owner’s last name has changed, the character of a family business has remained unchanged. Prins is an organization with short lines of communication, an informal working atmosphere, and a strong focus on long-term relationships with both customers and employees. And that is what we will continue to be.

The History of Prins and Kubota
In the late 1970s, when there was a need for a reliable power source for forklifts in the internal transport industry, Prins came into contact with Kubota. As Prins quickly became Kubota’s largest customer in the Netherlands, we were given the opportunity to become a Kubota importer. Prins has now been an official dealer of this leading Japanese brand for nearly 50 years.
